Where can a helicopter actually land in the Grand Canyon?

Only one place tourists can reach: the West Rim, on Hualapai tribal land, which sets its own rules and its own admission. That is where the champagne-picnic landings happen. Inside Grand Canyon National Park the rules are different: tour helicopters overfly the canyon on set corridors but never land below the rim. So a "canyon floor landing" is always a West Rim trip, and any South Rim helicopter is an air tour.
